COMMERCE CITY ― In April, the Commerce City Police Department participated in the National “Click it or Ticket” Campaign. Commerce City officers conducted specialized enforcement in the City, focusing their efforts on contacting and ticketing unrestrained motorists and their passengers.
During the eight day campaign, a total of 73 summons were issued for unrestrained vehicle occupants, ten of which were toddlers or infants. An additional 62 traffic violations were also cited, and officers made 11 arrests for warrants and DUI’s.
It is the ongoing goal of the Commerce City Police Department to keep the motoring public safe on the streets of Commerce City through education and enforcement, and by participation in programs like “Click it or Ticket”.
