PEACHTREE ACADEMY CELEBRATES “WEEK OF THE YOUNG CHILD”

Peachtree Academy Early Learning Center will host a variety of activities during the “Week of the Young Child” (April 19-25) at their Commerce City school:

• Clifford the Big Red Dog will be hand throughout the week during the Scholastic Book Fair to help promote children’s literacy and the importance of reading to children every day. The book fair will run from Monday through Friday. The public is welcome!
• Parent Appreciation Day, Tuesday, April 21, honoring the parents of our young children
• Teacher Appreciation Day, Thursday, April 23 honoring the teachers of Peachtree Academy
• Bike-a-Thon for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital: Preschool and pre-kindergarten children will participate in the Trike-a-Thon program. Throughout the week children will learn about bicycle and tricycle safety, while also learning to help others. The week will be capped off on Friday when children will bring their bikes and trikes to school and put to use the safety rules that they have learned.

Peachtree Academy is proud to celebrate the Week of the Young Child, established by The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) to recognize the needs of young children and their families and thank teachers and other adults who work to build better futures for all children.

Peachtree Academy is located at 10000 Chambers Road in the North Range area of Commerce City.
