COMMERCE CITY – The city is gearing up for the largest, most explosive fireworks show in the state.
The firework show is Saturday, July 25, and will start around 9:50 p.m. The fireworks will be just north of the Rapids’ stadium at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.
Parking for the event is free and people attending the fireworks show are encouraged to park in the lots west of the Civic Center between 60th and 64th avenues. 56th will be closed between Quebec and Havana streets starting at 8:30 p.m. until the end of the show.
After 8:30 p.m. all traffic will be routed to 62nd Avenue and Quebec Parkway to the Quebec parking area. For those wanting to ride their bicycles, bike racks are located throughout Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.
