Commerce City Police recover hundreds of stolen items, NEED HELP identifying property owners

COMMERCE CITY ― Commerce City Police Department executed a search warrant on a residence at 7170 E. 69th Ave. in Commerce City and recovered more than 600 stolen items. Gold, jewelry, electronics, DVD’s, weapons and collectible coins were among the items recovered during the search.

While the investigation is still ongoing, Commerce City PD believes the suspects involved have conducted numerous residential burglaries and vehicle trespasses in the Denver metro area from January 2009 until their arrest on January 6, 2010. It has been determined that several items of stolen property are from Denver, Commerce City, Thornton, Broomfield and Westminster.

Commerce City PD would like to return all of the stolen items to their original owners. In an effort to identify owners photographs of each item have been posted online in a secure photo-sharing Google Picasa web album.
