DENVER – Colorado Republican Chairman Dick Wadhams released the following statement regarding House approval of the Obama-Reid-Pelosi health care "reform" bill:"Defying a clear majority of Americans who oppose this health care reform monstrosity, President Obama, Senate Majority Leader Reid and Speaker Pelosi and their compliant stooges Betsy Markey, John Salazar, Ed Perlmutter, Jared Polis, Diana DeGette, Michael Bennet and Mark Udall are raising taxes on families and small businesses to pay for a massive expansion of government control of health care. Using bribery and intimidation that would make a Chicago 'community organizer' proud, Obama, Reid and Pelosi also played fast and loose with the numbers to fraudulently claim this bill reduces the deficit. Colorado will be saddled with a dramatic increase in Medicaid costs while taxpayers will be subjected to increased scrutiny by the IRS. The good news is that Democrats will face the wrath of voters this November."
"As state Republican chairman, I know this sets the stage for big victories this fall. As an American, I fear for the future of our country unless we repeal this bill."
