Cory Carfield, Prairie View High School senior, has been named the noon Brighton Rotary Club Student of the Month. PVHS Principal Dr. Chris Fiedler described Carfield as a “Renaissance Man” as he has taken advance placement classes such as world history and physics as well as building trades for four years and welding for three years.
Carfield is an AVID student and is a member of the PVHS Top 15 in the 2010 graduating class. He has lettered in both football and track.
Carfield has enlisted in the United State Marine Corp and will report to boot camp July 5 in California. Following Marine boot camp, he will enter in the Marine School of Infantry, according to Superintendent of Schools Dr. Rod L. Blunck, a member of Brighton Rotary.
