Two semi-trucks collide, Killing both drivers

COMMERCE CITY- On Thursday, May 27, 2010 at about 2:10 p.m., Commerce City police officers responded to the 7500 block of Quebec Parkway reference two semi-trucks that collided head-on and were engulfed in flames.
According to witnesses, an empty roll-off semi-truck was traveling northbound Quebec Parkway. Another semi-truck, not pulling a trailer, was travelling southbound Quebec Parkway and crossed over the grass median, colliding with the northbound semi-truck.

Both trucks immediately caught fire, and were completely engulfed within seconds.

Both drivers were pronounced dead on scene. They have not yet been identified.

The Commerce City Police Accident Investigation Team is currently investigating the accident.

Quebec Parkway is currently closed from E. 56th Avenue to E. 80th Avenue, and police are asking that everyone avoid Quebec Parkway north of I-70.
