COMMERCE CITY – Commerce City’s Cougars girls gymnastics team will send 27 members to upcoming regional competition in the CARA state gymnastics league.
The Cougars hosted the final meet before regional competition earlier this month at the Commerce City Recreation Center, drawing teams from throughout the state.
Twenty-one Cougars qualified for all-around competition at the regional event, with six more qualifying to compete as event specialists. Qualifiers and their events are listed below.

The Cougars would like to thank the many volunteers who worked to make the event a success, as well as Chipotle Restaurant, which donated lunch for officials and coaches.
The CARA league is a recreational league, with members from recreation centers throughout the state. CARA serves as a training ground for many high school gymnasts.
