Bell to serve on CML Policy Committee

Brighton Council Member Rex Bell has been appointed to the Colorado Municipal League (CML) Policy Committee, with City Manager Manuel Esquibel as an alternate.
The Colorado Municipal League is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that has served and represented Colorado’s cities and towns since 1923. Currently, 265 of Colorado's 271 municipalities (representing more than 99 percent of the state’s population) are members of CML and benefit from their advocacy, information and training services.

The Policy Committee is a standing committee that develops the league’s legislative program. CML’s Policy Committee is responsible for reviewing legislative and policy proposals and recommending to the CML executive board positions of support, opposition, no position, or amendment to a wide variety of legislation affecting cities and towns. Appointments to the committee are made each fall, and members serve for a one-year period. Brighton Council Members Terry Moore, Wilma Rose and Cynthia Martinez have served on the CML Policy Committee in the past.
