A Creepy Hollows Halloween in Commerce City

Celebrate Halloween at all-new Creepy Hollows

Everyone anticipates the coming of fall, with its cooler weather, beautiful leaves and football, of course. But the seasonal favorite has always been Halloween, and nobody does it better than Commerce City!

The city celebrates Halloween this year with an all-new Creepy Hollows. The name is the same, but everything else about this event is new – new theme, new location and new time.

In tribute to the season – and to make it easier for families to participate – the 2010 Creepy Hollows is themed as a Fall Festival.

Children will have a blast at the festival, which features carnival booths with exciting activities geared for young participants. Prizes are awarded at each booth for games that include a balloon race, foam dart shoot, and old favorites such as the ring toss and a strength test using mini-sledge hammers to launch a disk that shoots up a pole and rings a bell at the top.

Children 10 and younger can play all the exciting carnival games before heading into the crafts area, where they’ll find make-and-take projects with a Halloween theme.

Families can then make their way to the Mad Science tent for a spectacular Halloween show. Mad Science amazes and entertains children of all ages with its interactive programs, which will include experiments with dry ice and jack o’lanterns.

Following the show, kids can pick up a goodie bag on their way out. The family event ends at 4 p.m. to make way for the teen event later that evening.

For older kids, Teen Halloween offers a great time in a safe environment. Teens 11-17 are invited to dress in their Halloween best and join their friends for dancing and more, 7-10 p.m. at the Recreation Center.

Teen Halloween also features a Fall Festival theme and includes a DJ, fortune teller, face painting and inflatables. Teen Halloween is FREE.
