Brighton recognizes employee’s service to the community

The city of Brighton hosted its annual Employee Awards Luncheon yesterday to show appreciation for the employee’s and their years of service to the community. Recognized were employee’s that have dedicated five, 10, 15, 20 and 25 years.

Captain Robert White from the Brighton Police Department was named Supervisor of the Year and Sheryl Johnson from the City Manager’s Office was named Employee of the Year.

In addition, teams were recognized for projects they had worked on during the past year including: the Brighton Economic Development 2010 Economic Profile; the Small Business Assistance Center; the Brighton Urban Renewal Authority/Downtown Branding; the Brighton Housing Authority U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Audit; the 4th of July Celebration; the Libretto project; the 2010 Turkey Trot; the 2010 State of the City; the Summer Streets Paint Crew; the Graffiti Team; the Reverse Osmosis Plant Team; the Innoprise Implementation Team; the Community Development Team; and the IT Team.
