City of Brighton...Christmas tree recycling begins December 26th

The city of Brighton Parks and Recreation Department, in partnership with Wright Tree Services, will offer Christmas tree recycling from Sunday, Dec. 26 through Monday, Jan. 10. During this time, trees can be dropped off at one of the following locations:

* Brighton Park, 9th and Midland, parking lot;
* Brighton Sports Complex, 1111 Judicial Center Drive; and
* Ken Mitchell Park, 889 Kinglet Court.

Curbside pick-up will also be available on Monday, Jan. 10 only. Trees must be placed on the curb by 7 a.m.

Residents are asked to be sure all ornaments and tinsel have been removed from the trees before drop-off or pick-up.

Christmas trees will be chipped and mulch will be available from Friday, Jan. 14 through Monday, Jan. 24, at Brighton Park on a first come, first served basis. Regular mulch is available for free year round to Brighton residents. Call the Parks and Recreation Department for further details at 303-655-2054.
