12/22/2010 - Gov. Bill Ritter has ordered flags on all state and federal buildings to be lowered to half staff on Thursday, December 23, from sunrise to sunset, in honor of Marine Lance Cpl. Jose A. Hernandez, 19.Hernandez was killed on December 14 in the Helmand Province of Afghanistan while conducting combat operations. His funeral service is scheduled for 10 a.m. tomorrow at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in Pueblo. Hernandez was born in Iowa and spent his childhood in Pueblo, where his mother currently resides.
