A major car accident has closed Interstate 76 both ways this evening. The location of the accident is Interstate 76 and Broomley Lane in Brighton.
The accident involved a man in his 50's who was driving a Chevy truck went into on coming traffic on I-76 striking a semi truck that was carrying oil which resulted in a spill. State patrol was able to clean the oil and have the highway open by 7p.m.
The driver of the Chevy truck was airlifted to a local hospital. The driver of the oil semi truck was not injured.
