27J SCHOOL NUTRITION SERVICES MEAL CHARGING POLICY

Beginning January 18, 2011, any student in grades Kindergarten through 5th grade, who forgets or loses his/her money, may charge a maximum of $5.25. Grades 6th through 8th may charge a maximum of $2.00. There will be no charges allowed for students in grades 9 and above. A written notice will be given to the student to notify the parent/guardian, prior to this limit being reached. If payment for charges is not received the next school day, an alternative meal will be served. This meal will be a homemade peanut butter and jelly sandwich and white milk. A full meal will not be provided to the student. In all cases, the charges must be paid back.
