Brighton gives back; free mulch available from recycled Christmas trees

The city of Brighton Parks and Recreation Department has free mulch available from recycled Christmas trees. Residents can pick-up the mulch during daylight hours, any day of the week, at Brighton Park, 9th and Midland. Mulch is available on a first come, first served basis.

This year the city recycled a record 500+ trees. In years past, there were 200+ trees brought in for recycling.

Mulch from Christmas trees is exceptional due to the all natural ingredients. The mulch slowly decomposes providing further nutrients to plants, flower beds and trees.
