Brighton Police Investigating Homicide

Brighton police are investigating the homicide of a Brighton resident whose body was discovered by a concerned neighbor.

Police were dispatched to 625 S. Miller Avenue, in Brighton, at about 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 12. On scene, they discovered the body of a 67-year-old Brighton man. A post-mortem investigation conducted earlier today indicated the man was the victim of a homicide. Agents from the Colorado Bureau of Investigation are assisting in the investigation. The victim’s identity is not being released at this time, pending notification of relatives.

This is the first homicide reported in the city of Brighton since November 2008. At this time, police have found no indications that the homicide was a random act.
