Commerce City offers Valentine treats for entire family

COMMERCE CITY – Celebrate the sweetest day of the year with Valentine events the entire family can participate in.

Kicking off the holiday weekend is a Valentine Breakfast, from 7-10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 11 at the Commerce City Recreation Center.

Bring your family and get a hearty breakfast of biscuits and sausage gravy for just $4 per person. A heart-healthy option is also on the menu. Proceeds from this annual breakfast benefit the Goodfriends Program, which helps fund participation in Recreation Center senior programs and classes.

The annual Daddy-Daughter Sweetheart Dance will be held on Feb. 11 , from 6-9 p.m. at the Recreation Center.

Dads, grandfathers and uncles are invited to don their suits and escort their little princesses to “The Royal Ball,” where they will enjoy dancing, games and prizes.

Register for the dance by Feb. 9 and receive discounted prices of $10 per person for residents, $12 per person for nonresidents. After Feb. 9, admission is $13 and $15 respectively. Attendees can purchase a souvenir photo of the event for $4 (cash only).. The minimum age to participate is 4.
