Man Pleads Guilty to Killing 84 Year-Old Step-Father

17th Judicial District Attorney, Don Quick announced that on January 14, 2011, Thomas Holloway (dob: 12/02/56) plead guilty to Second Degree Murder (F2) and First Degree Burglary (F3) for the shooting death of his step-father in Broomfield, Colorado.

On June 28, 2010 at approximately 8:13 PM Broomfield Police responded to a 911 call at an apartment complex in the 200 block of Summit Blvd. in Broomfield, CO. Investigation lead law enforcement to the apartment of Jack Schueller (dob: 8/02/1924). Upon entering, police found Schueller dead from a gunshot wound to the neck. Schueller was the step-father of Thomas Holloway.

Holloway had also attempted to shoot his ex-wife and son immediately prior to killing his step-father.

Holloway was sentenced by Judge F. Michael Goodbee to 48 years for Second Degree Murder and 24 years for Burglary, to be served consecutively at the Colorado Department of Corrections.
