Northern Range King Soopers on Schedule...

According to Commerce City Manager Jerry Flannery, The King Soopers/Shea project that is slated on 104th and Chambers is on schedule. Residents could see foundations being built as soon as August of this year. On the other hand, the Commerce City economic department have heard from Wal-Mart as they apologized for not getting a letter to the city faster regarding the once planned store in the northern range. Wal-Mart explained, the letter is "tied up" at headquarters, but should be in the city's hands soon. The letter is projected to say something in the line of the northern range Wal-Mart is a "tough decision" that maybe put on hold. Also reported, Wal-Mart announces that they will be refurbishing and updating the inside and outside southern Wal-Mart location at 60th Avenue in the very near future.

  1. Good news (so far!) on the King Sooper but I wonder why WalMart is sinking money into the Southern store when they should be closing that one and working on the one up north.

    The southern store is so bad I will probably never set foot in there again. The outside is tagged with graffiti and the inside was not much better. Again, when I have to go to WalMart I'll drive over to the Stapleton one.
