EXpressToll milestone reached; transponders now in 750,000 vehicles

The number of vehicles equipped with EXpressToll transponders reached a new milestone on Saturday, March 19, when the 750,000th transponder was issued. That was just over three years from the March 6, 2008 date that the 500,000 mark was attained.

EXpressToll is the automatic toll collection system used by E-470, the Northwest Parkway , and the I-25 Express Lanes north of downtown Denver . EXpressToll accounts can accommodate multiple vehicles within an account. There now are more than 381 thousand household and business accounts that comprise the three-quarter million transponders now in use.

EXpressToll drivers pay 20 percent less in tolls on E-470 than License Plate Toll customers. They also have access to the EXpressToll Rewards program, offering discounts to a variety of services such as exclusive parking rates at Canopy Parking near DIA, hotel stays, and vehicle maintenance services. Individuals and businesses can sign up for EXpressToll at EXpressToll.com.
