The number of homes sold in March 2011 in Adams County decreased 16.2 percent to 449 compared with the same month a year ago, according to Metrolist® data. This reflects the effects of the homebuyer tax credit from 2009-2010.
The average sold price of homes in Adams County was $180,309 in March 2011, an increase of 7.2 percent over March last year. The median price for a single family home in Adams County was up slightly at $159,700.
Homes are taking longer to sell in today’s market without the homebuyer tax credit of last year. Total days on market in Adams County rose from 71 days in 2010 to 105 days in 2011, a 48.1 percent increase.
