Be a Part of Colorado’s Largest Memorial Day Parade

Entries accepted until May 20 for commerce city’s annual event

COMMERCE CITY – Join Commerce City as it hosts the 47th annual Memorial Day Parade at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 30. More than 150 entries each year helped the parade become the largest in the state and one of the largest in the country, with more than 10,000 spectators lining the parade route.

City staff is seeking additional entries to participate in this year’s event, under the theme “Remember their Sacrifice.” Commerce City continues to honor those who have served, or are serving, in the armed forces. The city pays special tribute to those who have died in service to their country.

Nearly two miles long, the parade route begins at the intersection of 64th Avenue and Olive Street and ends at the Veterans War Memorial at the intersection of Forest Street and Parkway Drive. Officials estimate the parade is more than four miles in length from the first to last entry.

There are no entry fees – everyone is welcome to participate. The only requirement is that all entries must incorporate the parade’s theme. Entries will be accepted until 5 p.m. Friday, May 20. Online entry forms are available at www.c3gov.com/event. Click on Parade form under Quick Links on the right side of the page. A hard copy of the parade packet, including entry form, is available at the receptionist’s desk in the lobby of the City Manager’s Office.
