Commerce City gets $312,000 for Fairfax Park Improvements...

Funds applied for and awarded to Commerce City by Adams County Open Space in the amount of $312,000 will be used to make improvements to Fairfax Park that will include a new irrigation system and a new maintenance building.

Twenty thousand residents live in the southern portion of Commerce City and Fairfax Park is the second largest park in this area. Several recreational baseball and softball leagues as well as youth baseball, softball and soccer programs support this project. Fairfax has been an important part of Commerce City for over 35 years and implementing the current master plan for the park will ensure that residents are able to enjoy it for many more years to come.
