Dara Schmidt Becomes Anythink Brighton Manager

Dara Schmidt
BRIGHTON, Colo.–May 10, 2011–Former Anythink Huron Street guide Dara Schmidt was recently promoted to Anythink Brighton manager. Schmidt began her library career as a page nearly 20 years ago. With a few detours along the way, she reentered the library world in California working for the Downey City Library and Los Angeles County libraries. She earned her MLIS from San Jose State University and has been with Anythink for almost three years.

“This is an amazing opportunity to work in a wonderful community at the beautiful Anythink Brighton facility,” says Schmidt. “I am thrilled to be a part of the Anythink Brighton team.”

“In her three-year tenure at Anythink, Dara has helped define teen services and has been a leader in creating mySummer – Anythink’s summer reading program,” says public services director Ronnie Storey-Ewoldt. “Her passion for the Anythink philosophy makes her the natural choice to promote to the position of Anythink Brighton manager, and we're thrilled that she's accepted the challenge.”
