Adams County commissioners asked state ethics officials Monday to investigate whether the county assessor, Gil Reyes, violated state laws by accepting sports tickets and lunch invitations from a company appealing to reduce its property taxes.
The commissioners acted in response to a Denver Post report that Reyes accepted gifts from a vice president of Majestic Realty Co., an industrial warehouse developer that won reductions totaling $23 million on the taxable values of its Adams County buildings. Full Story Click Here...
