As part of implementing the Commerce City Economic Development Strategic Plan, Economic Development is soliciting interest from Commerce City residents and businesses to serve on the Commerce City Economic Development Citizen Advisory Committee (ED-CAC) and the Commerce City Economic Development Business Advisory Committee (ED-BAC).The purpose of the ED-CAC and ED-BAC is to:
1. Promote public involvement in economic development to further the economic success of Commerce City;
2. Provide independent-citizen and business community input and feedback on Commerce City economic development issues and proposed policies; and
3. Act as community stewards to help educate other residents and businesses on Commerce City-specific economic development programs, issues and progress.
It is our hope that a diverse group of residents from all geographical locations in Commerce City, as well as existing and prospective Commerce City businesses within our target industries, will apply. Applications are now being accepted through May 31, 2011!
