Enrollment closes May 16, so reserve your space today

COMMERCE CITY – Make sure your family has a great summer by enrolling your child in Commerce City’s 2011 Summer Camps before the May 16 deadline.

From swimming pools to Slip n’ Slides, arts and crafts to dodgeball, to field trips and more, the city’s camps offer a variety of activities and experiences to enrich your child’s summer. Activities are tailored to different age groups: camp for ages 6-10 is at the Recreation Center while camps for ages 11-15 are held at the Recreation Center and Second Creek Elementary School .

Camps are fun, active and staffed by caring professionals with several years of experience. Licensed by the Colorado Department of Human Services, Commerce City ’s programs offer a high ratio of counselors to campers. The programs are also approved by Colorado ’s Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP), which provides financial support for day care programs to families who meet income guidelines.

“Our goal is to provide a positive, fun and safe environment, with high-quality programming that focuses on the whole child,” says Lisa Nordholt, Youth Services Supervisor for Commerce City Parks and Recreation. “We offer hands-on experiences that enrich and build each child’s learning skills according to their age and ability.”
