Memorial Day service at Elmwood Cemetery in Brighton, located at Hwy 85 and 144th Avenue will begin at 10 a.m.Jeff Ocker, president of the men's auxiliary of the Brighton VFW, will deliver the opening prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance. Myranda Straface, president of the ladies auxiliary, and Terry Young, commander of the American Legion, will give speeches.
VFW Cmdr. Dick Larson will also deliver remarks, to be followed by a 21-gun salute and the playing of taps.
