Celebrate the July 4 Holiday with a Bang at the Commerce City’s annual 4th Fest, Rapids Home Game and Largest Fireworks Display

ENJOY a great evening of family fun, simulcast on 92.5 THE wolf

COMMERCE CITY – With one of the state’s largest fireworks displays, carnival games, live entertainment and the Colorado Rapids taking on the Houston Dynamo, Commerce City knows how to throw a party for the nation’s birthday.

The festivities all take place Sunday, July 3, at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park, 6000 Victory Crossing. Parking lots around the stadium open at 4 p.m. Parking will not be allowed along Quebec Parkway, 56th Avenue or the frontage road. While there will be no shuttle service available, there will be more than 100 parking spaces for guests with disabilities available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Presented by Westerra, the fifth annual 4th Fest offers free live music and entertainment, games such as a climbing wall, human foosball, quad trampoline, mechanical bull and jump castle. Topping off the evening will be the fireworks display, choreographed to patriotic music simulcast over 92.5 The Wolf.

While families are encouraged to enjoy the professional display of pyrotechnics, residents are reminded that all fireworks are illegal within the city limits of Commerce City. Parent should talk with their children about the dangers of fireworks and anyone wanting to report a fireworks violation can call dispatch at 911 or the non-emergency number, 303-288-1535.

The Colorado Rapids will take on the Houston Dynamo in a nationally-televised game beginning at 7 p.m. Ticket prices start at $17 and are available for purchase on Tickethorse, at the Box Office or by calling 303-825-GOAL.

“This annual event is a long-standing tradition for the city,” said City Manager Jerry Flannery. “We’re in our fifth year of partnering with The Colorado Rapids and hope everyone will enjoy one of the best fireworks shows in the state, instead of doing their own at home.”
