Resembling a mini-4th of July celebration, Ellie’s Carnival commanded the lion’s share of childrens’ and adults’ attention in Reunion this Saturday, June 11th in Reunion Park with an attendance that topped an estimated 300 attendees. Contests, games, and just having fun was the order of the day in commemoration of both 6 year old Ellie Rolf’s blessings in dealing with childhood cancer (now in remission) and an ongoing awareness campaign against the deadly disease.

Parents, Janice and Scotty Rolfs (along with Sister Sophie and Grandmother, June) organize a number of ongoing fundraising initiatives such as Ellie’s Carnival, A Fun Run, the TeamEllie.Org website, and their own “Team Ellie” bicycle racing team’s participation in Children’s Hospital annual “Courage Classic” Event.
