Missing Child in Commerce City Found Safe...

UPDATE: The Commerce City Police Department is pleased to announce that 12 year old D’Koda Mathews has been found.

D’Koda was located approximately ½ mile southwest of his residence, in a field, where he had been hiding for most of the day. A worker in that area found the missing juvenile and called 911.

D’Koda had run away from home during the night, after being disciplined for fighting with a sibling. He was dehydrated, but in good condition and did not require medical attention. He was returned home safely.

The Commerce City Police Department is conducting an investigation into the disappearance of a juvenile that went missing early Saturday.

The juvenile is 12 year old D’Koda [pron: dah-kota] Mathews. He was last seen at his residence in the 7100 block of Jasmine St, last night around 10:30pm, and was reported missing by a family member just after 5am this morning.

D’Koda is a white male, approximately 5’03”, 90 lbs, with light brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black “ninja-style” outfit and may have a black mask as well. It is unknown if he has shoes and socks at this time.

Investigators do not suspect kidnapping or foul play to be a factor in this case.

The Commerce City Police Department is requesting the help of the public in looking for D’Koda Mathews. Anyone with information on D’Koda’s whereabouts is asked to call 911 immediately.
