Brighton Fire to host September 11 anniversary ceremony

In honor of the ten year anniversary of the September 11 tragedy, Brighton Fire and Brighton Police will have a ceremony on Sunday, September 11, 2011. The ceremony will be held at the new city building and fire headquarters at 500 South 4th Avenue.

Events will begin at 12:30 and will include a speech from Fire Chief Mark Bodane, Police Chief Clint Blackhurst and a representative from the City of Brighton, as well as a moment of silence and ringing of a bell. Colors will be presented by the Brighton Fire color guard.

Refreshments for attendees will follow the ceremony.
