Brighton: Fourth Avenue Overlay Project to begin Aug. 29

On Monday, Aug. 29, the City of Brighton will begin work on the Fourth Avenue Overlay Project. The work is expected to be complete on Sept. 16 and will be completed in two phases:

Phase 1 – from Bridge Street to Bush Street will be held Aug. 29 to Sept. 6 for concrete pours.

Phase 2 – from Bridge Street to Mather Street will begin Sept. 6 and will be completed on approximately Sept. 16 for total reconstruction of the roadway.

Detour traffic control will be in place during construction phases. Partial closures may continue through Sept. 31. Alternate routes are advised during daylight construction timeframes.
