Commerce City Council gave direction to city staff to bring the ballot question language of three possible questions prior to certifying the November 2011 ballot. City Council is required to pass the resolution and ordinance to place these items on the 2011 ballot per state statute and home rule charter. If the ballot language is agreed upon, staff will bring back a resolution and ordinance for City Council to approval on August 15, 2011 for Question No. 1, Question No. 2 and No. 3 respectively.
