Adams City High School Security Incident

COMMERCE CITY, Colo. (December 1, 2011) – The Commerce City Police Department (CCPD) is investigating an incident that occurred this morning at the Adams City High School , 7200 Quebec Parkway .

Just after 9 a.m., a 911 call was received that indicated a bomb threat to the school. The school initiated a lockout, and the CCPD arrived on scene within minutes to investigate. It was determined through the investigation that the threat was not credible; therefore, the school was not evacuated.

Adams City High School has resumed regular classes and activities. CCPD is continuing its investigation.

Adams 14 and CCPD appreciate the cooperation of school staff, students and the community during this effort to ensure the safety of the school.
