DENVER – Today, Governor John Hickenlooper delivered his annual State of the State speech to a full crowd in the Colorado House of Representatives. The Governor discussed some of the successes from the previous year, and presented his goals for the future.

Senate President Brandon Shaffer (D-Longmont) offered the following comment on Governor Hickenlooper’s speech today:

“Today the Governor reminded us what we can accomplish when we work together. He also gave us a realistic picture of the challenges we face in the coming year. We share his commitment to continue working to strengthen our economy and to get Coloradans back to work. I look forward to working with Governor Hickenlooper and with my fellow legislators – regardless of party affiliation – to grow prosperity in our state.”
