City Manager's Update reagarding fracking stand down...

In regards to continuing the voluntary stand down, Matt LePore indicated he did talk to Hilcorp and they are not interested in continuing the stand down, despite indication earlier that they may be open to a continuation. Anadarko deferred to Hilcorp. It is staff’s understanding based on this conversation that Hilcorp wants to force a decision by COGCC regarding the current permit. Upside is it will likely take 30 days or so to get the permit issued, we are still waiting for a site plan, and also we can still force a public hearing through the COGCC permit process. Additionally, Hilcorp is not planning to do anything for 60-90 days due to rig availability. So by default still have voluntary stand down.
