RAPIDS’ ROCKY MOUNTAIN CUP MATCH AGAINST RSL ON APRIL 7 TO BE BROADCAST LIVE ON DISH AND DIRECTV

Rivalry match to air live at 7 p.m. MT on DISH Network and DirecTV; tape delay on Altitude at 10 p.m.; Viewing Parties also available at bars in Denver, Boulder and Colorado Springs

COMMERCE CITY, Colo. (Friday, March 30, 2012) – The Colorado Rapids and broadcast partner Altitude TV announced today that Rapids’ at Real Salt Lake on Saturday, April 7 will be aired live at 7 p.m. MT on affiliate stations through DirecTV and DISH Network satellite providers. The match is the first of three MLS regular season matchups between the Rapids and RSL, with the Rocky Mountain Cup going to the winner of the season series.

Altitude will transmit their pregame show, commentary, and postgame show, with coverage starting at 6:30 p.m., on channel 680 on DirecTV (680-01 HD) and channel 452 on DISH Network. The broadcast will feature the Altitude team of Todd Romero on play-by-play and Rapids legend Marcelo Balboa providing color commentary, calling the game live from Rio Tinto Stadium in Sandy , UT.

A re-broadcast on Altitude will air at 10 p.m. MT, due to Denver Nuggets and Colorado Avalanche games on Altitude and Altitude 2 at the same time as the Rapids match. More information can be found at www.Altitude.tv.

The Coors Light Away Game Viewing Party will be hosted at The Three Lions in Denver starting at 6 p.m. Other bars in Denver , as well as Back East Bar and Grill in Colorado Springs and Conor O’Neill’s in Boulder , will also show the game, with more information available by clicking here. Radio partners Mile High Sports Radio (1510 AM, 93.7 FM) and ESPN Deportes (87.7 FM) will also broadcast the game live.
