Suspicious Note Prompts Investigation

COMMERCE CITY – On Wednesday morning, officers from the Commerce City Police Department responded to Belle Creek Charter School, 9290 E 107th Ave, on a report of a suspicious note found at the school.

A note indicating a bomb threat was found in the teacher’s lounge by a staff member of the charter school. The school was secured prior to opening for morning classes. Officers searched the school and were unable to locate any threat to students or staff.

The school was reopened and classes started on a normal schedule. An official investigation is still underway, though the school and police do not believe the bomb threat to be credible.
