Art show celebrates hope and recovery

As part of their recognition of April as Sexual Assault Awareness Month, the Brighton Police Department Victim Services unit and the 17th Judicial District invite the public to attend a reception for artists whose work is featured in an exhibition celebrating hope and recovery through art.

The exhibition, CREATING A NEW NORMAL: art by those affected by sexual assault will be on display at The Armory at Brighton Cultural Center, 300 Strong Street, from April 12 - April 30, 2012. Attendees at the reception, which will be held from 3-5 p.m. on April 12, can enjoy refreshments as they meet the featured artists and view their works.

For more information about the exhibition or reception, contact Kim Dressel, Victim Services Coordinator, at (303) 655-2308.
