As part of their recognition of April as Sexual Assault Awareness Month, the Brighton Police Department Victim Services unit and the 17th Judicial District invite the public to attend a reception for artists whose work is featured in an exhibition celebrating hope and recovery through art.The exhibition, CREATING A NEW NORMAL: art by those affected by sexual assault will be on display at The Armory at Brighton Cultural Center, 300 Strong Street, from April 12 - April 30, 2012. Attendees at the reception, which will be held from 3-5 p.m. on April 12, can enjoy refreshments as they meet the featured artists and view their works.
