Brighton: Agricultural preservation sub-committee members needed

The city of Brighton is accepting applications for the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, Agricultural Preservation Sub-Committee. The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. on Friday, April 1.

The purpose of this committee is to investigate and advise the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board (PRAB) relative to the issue of agricultural land in and around Brighton, and to consider factors such as sustainability, viability, location, financing and recommendations on alternatives which may guide and influence how this issue is addressed in future plans of the city.

Members are appointed by the PRAB. Brighton residency is not required. Applications can be obtained at www.brightonco.gov, click on Departments, Boards and Commissions, PRAB and then Agricultural Land Preservation Committee. Applications are also available at the Parks and Recreation office, 1901 E. Bridge Street.
