Because of recent increases in the volume of concealed handgun permit applications and current staffing levels, we must implement the following policy: Beginning TUESDAY, MARCH 01, 2011, we will be limiting NEW permit applications accepted on any intake day (Tuesday or Friday) to a maximum of 20.There will be no limit on RENEWAL applications accepted. Renewal applicants are encouraged to call ahead to speed your application processing.
As always, applications are accepted on Tuesday mornings from 9:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon, and on Friday afternoons from 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M..
Applications are accepted on a “first-come, first-served” basis. Those who are not accepted because the maximum has been reached will be given a receipt which will entitle them to be first-served on the next application acceptance day (if they arrive at the beginning of the acceptance period).
