Denver International Airport will hold four community meetings in April to gather public comment on plans for growth over the next 20 years.
DIA plans to update its master plan for development by spring 2010.
DIA’s original 1988 master plan set a milestone of 50 million passengers for the airport’s first phase. The airport reached that passenger level in 2008, and now will revise the plan to accommodate expected passenger growth.
The four meetings will consist of an open house where citizens can look over the elements of the plan update and talk with DIA staff and consultants.
Aviation Manager Kim Day will make a presentation at each meeting at 6 p.m.
"The airport has always prided itself on being a good neighbor, and has worked with surrounding communities to resolve issues that have arisen," Day said in a statement. "As we consider how we will grow in future years, we want to make sure that our neighbors are given an opportunity to have their voices heard."

• Monday, April 20, Commerce City Administration Building, 7887 E. 60th Avenue, open house 4-6 p.m., presentation during City Council Study Session.
