Neighborhood Outreaches offer food, fun and information

COMMERCE CITY – You don’t have to travel all over town to find the help you need. The city has organized Neighborhood Outreaches to provide information and resources to help you.

Mayor Paul Natale and the City Council invite all residents to attend the upcoming Neighborhood Outreach, June 11 at River Run Park. Along with the council members, there will be representatives from local nonprofit agencies, community resources and city services.

This free community event is fun and informative: visit the various information tables, and then grab some food and enjoy the evening. Visit with your friends, meet new neighbors and talk to City Council members. Or just sit back and enjoy the live music.

Do you have a suggestion for improving a service? City staff and officials will be on hand to chat with you. Want to learn more about available healthcare? Representatives from the health field will be there to answer your questions.

You will find information from community agencies, health organizations, mortgage consultants and many other resources. City staff from departments such as Public Works, Parks and Recreation, and the Police Department will be there to help you as well. Information on community resources such as the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge also will be available.

Neighborhood Outreaches are free to attend; this year’s two events are:
• 6 p.m., Thursday, June 11 at River Run Park, 11515 Oswego St.
• 6 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 13 at Pioneer Park, 60th Avenue and Holly Street.
