SHOOTING SUSPECT IN CUSTODY

On May 22, 2009, at approximately 10:40 a.m., the Adams County Sheriff’s Office received a radio call of a shooting victim in the 2200 block of West 57th Place, unincorporated Adams County.

When deputies arrived they found a female victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment and her condition is unknown.

Investigators asked for the public’s assistance in locating the suspect, Eric Boney and his vehicle. On May 22, 2009, at approximately 5:30 p.m., Boney along with his vehicle, were located and he was arrested without incident by the Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office. Boney is being booked into the Adams County Detention Facility for investigation of Criminal Attempt Second Degree Murder, First Degree Assault, and Domestic Violence. Boney’s bond has been set at $40,000.00.
