ADAMS COUNTY DEPUTIES WORK FOR TIPS FOR SPECIAL OLYMPICS

Sheriff Doug Darr and members of the Adams County Sheriff’s Office are participating in the Tip-A-Cop fundraising program at Le Peep Restaurant, 421 West 104th Avenue, Unit H, in Northglenn, Colorado, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 13, 2009, Sunday, June 14, 2009, July 11, 2009, Sunday, July 12, 2009, Saturday August 15, 2009, and Sunday, August 16, 2009.

The goal of the Tip-a-Cop program is to collect as many donations as possible for the Colorado Special Olympics through “tips.” Tip-A-Cop is a Law Enforcement Torch Run® fundraising event in which law enforcement officers assist with waiting tables at a restaurant and collect “tip” donations for Special Olympics.


Sheriff Darr has arranged for some of the special units of the Adams County Sheriff’s Office to be present for several of the fundraising days. The Adams County K-9 Unit will be there on Saturday, June 13, 2009, the Adams County SWAT team will be there on July 11, 2009, and on Saturday, August 15, 2009 the Adams County Hazardous Devices Unit (also known as the Bomb Squad) will be there. The specialized units are scheduled to attend from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Everyone is invited to attend and all donations made to the Colorado Special Olympics are appreciated.
