Friday night, June 26th a tractor owned by the South Adams County Water and Sanitation District was stolen from District property located at 85th Avenue and Quebec Street. The thieves moved the 31 year old, classic green John Deere workhorse onto the railroad tracks where it was hit by a train, demolishing the tractor and tying up rail transportation for several hours.If you have any information that would lead to the arrest and prosecution of the thief/thieves, please contact the Commerce City Police Department at 303.289.3653 or 303.289.3648.
