School District 27J’s Long Range Facility Planning Committee has openings for new members.The committee develops recommendations on the timing and location of new district schools and improvements to existing schools. Committee members develop a long-term capital construction plan, review district enrollment and housing projections, long-range site acquisition plans, educational specifications, construction priorities and timelines and act as the core group for school attendance area boundary planning.
This year, the committee will make recommendations for the district’s next bond election.
The committee meets the third Thursday of each month from 6 to 8 p.m. Members are expected to attend all regular meetings. Occasional special meetings are held.
