Frazier calls on Ed Perlmutter, Congressman of the 7th District, to Reject Bill
Aurora, CO - November 2nd, 2009 - Ryan Frazier, Candidate for U.S. Congress, said today that the 1,990 page Pelosi healthcare bill unveiled Thursday by Nancy Pelosi and the Democrat-controlled Congress is a flagrant attack on Colorado jobs, small businesses and families’ ability to weather today’s tough economic circumstances.
“This bill’s $1.055 trillion price tag drives our nation further into debt and forces Coloradans to bear that burden at a time when small businesses and families can least afford to do so. The Democrat Congress continues to ignore the fact that excessive taxation is an assault on Americans’ livelihoods. While I do believe we must address the very real and present crisis of rising healthcare costs, I unequivocally disagree with the solutions set forth by Nancy Pelosi and the Democrat-controlled Congress in Washington. I, along with my fellow Coloradans, call upon Ed Perlmutter to fulfill his duty to those he serves and vote ‘no’ on this misguided and poorly crafted bill,” Frazier stated.
Ryan Frazier believes that Nancy Pelosi and the Democratic leadership has ignored the objections of many Americans, who reject the proposed solutions and the public option. The bill is laden with onerous taxes that represent significant cost hikes to small businesses - the bread and butter of the American economy. As business owners absorb more crippling taxation and regulation, many will be forced to lay off workers or put off any expansion that might prove beneficial to the economy.
Frazier has crafted the Top 12 Reasons the Pelosi Healthcare Bill Hurts YOU: a Layman’s Guide to Understanding the Real Story. The guide is available at www.frazierforcolorado.com/?q=healthcare. He crafted the document to encourage public understanding of the bill’s contents and associated problems. Better solutions have been proposed that would begin to tackle the healthcare crisis. However, these measures are not included in the bill released on Thursday.
